Designed to use up a collection of leftover cotton scraps, the Tyndal Mini Messenger Bag turned out so simple, classy, and fun that more cotton was purchased to make two more bags. This is a very versatile pattern: make it as large or small as you prefer, with as long a strap as your shoulder demands. Make a deep flap or a shallower one. Crocheted in two panels that are then slip-stitched together, the only stitches you need are chains, single-crochets, and slip stitches. The fabric is fully reversible, so the inside looks as clean as the outside if you choose not to line the bag with fabric. Pick your favorite button closure and off you go.
