This is a very simple blanket to create, using only Snow Stitch single crochets to form a subtly ribbed fabric that’s thick, stretchy, and appealing.

Crocheted in strips of alternating colors, the strips are joined with a simple blanket stitch on the reverse side. The right and wrong sides look almost perfectly the same; the tiny difference in the row next to the color change is so imperceptible, no eye but the most determinedly critical one will ever notice if you accidentally flip one of the strips.

This is a wonderful blanket for a man or woman, and would look sharp in black & white, gray & burgundy, or kelly & navy. Make a smaller or larger blanket by adjusting the number of strips, number of color changes in the strips, or the number of stitches in a strip. Start with any even number of stitches.
