These charming little sachets couldn’t be easier to make. Worked in one piece with Linen Stitch and Seed Stitch, you simply wrap them up and sew the sides and flap shut around whatever sweetly scented leaves, herbs, and/or oils you like.
Prefer to keep them open and reusable? Don’t stitch the flap shut, and make the button a workable closure instead of just an accent.
This is a great project to use up yarn scraps, and looks equally nice in just about any kind of yarn: cotton, acrylic, wool, you name it. And you can raid your garden, spice, cupboard, or potpourri stash to fill them. Holiday gifts, anyone?
