After oral surgery, one side of my neck swelled up as though the surgeon left an ostrich egg inside my throat. I wanted a cowl that would function like a turtleneck to hide the swelling when I had to go back to work.

This simple cowl did the trick. Knit in bulky yarn, with a simple ribbed structure, it slips easily over the head and then pulls in close around the neck. Increases toward the bottom let the cowl spread over the neckline of your garment.
