This blanket is worked center-out in a spiral, creating ripples that resemble the surface of a placid lake. After the first three set-up rounds the rest of the blanket flows easily with each side working up exactly the same way, with no joins. Continue until the blanket is the size that you prefer: make anything from a lovey to a king-sized bedcover.

Body of Water looks stunning in a single color, in a range of hues like the one pictured above, or in yarn with long color variations like the one pictured on the next page. This pattern would make a great stash-buster as well. We recommend avoiding yarns with short color changes, as the ripple design may become obscured by marling.

This pattern will take to any weight yarn, from lace weight to super bulky. It has flared corners, and does not lie flat.
